Valentine’s DAy Reflection

Yesterday I shared my thoughts on the gift of friendship and the women who walk beside us.

Today, I’m simply pausing to notice love…the kind that quietly fills an ordinary life.

When I look around, I see how deeply blessed I am.

A husband who has walked beside me through every season… the joyful ones, the uncertain ones, and all the ordinary days in between. Jeff has been my steady place for a long time now, and I don’t take that for granted.

Two sons who grew into men I genuinely enjoy being around, who chose incredible wives that have become daughters of my heart.

And now, the sweetest new chapter… little grandsons who remind me daily that love keeps multiplying when you least expect it.

None of it looks like the picture-perfect version of love we sometimes imagine when we’re young.

It looks better.

It looks like faithfulness, shared stories, grace, laughter around a table, and tiny hands reaching up.

And the longer I live, the more I see that love isn’t something we chase. It’s something we learn to recognize, already present, already growing, already making us strong.

Today I’m grateful for the love God has entrusted to my care, and for the people who make my life full in ways I never could have planned.

Happy Valentine’s Day 🧡
