From Brokenness to Redemption: My Journey to Hope Through Jesus
Sometimes life gives us a rough start.
Maybe you’ve felt it too—the sting of injustice, the weight of rejection, or the deep ache of wounds that never should have been inflicted. My journey began in that place. I endured abuse in my early years, and it left me feeling shattered, unworthy, and confused about who I was and where I belonged.
Like many, I searched for comfort in whatever ways I could. That search led me into choices and patterns I thought would bring peace—but they only masked my pain. One of those choices included stepping into a lifestyle that, while offering acceptance, only deepened my inner conflict. At the time, I didn’t fully understand it, but I was using sin as a way to cope with my brokenness.
But Jesus met me there—right in the middle of my mess.
I’m not writing this because I have it all figured out. I’m writing it because I’ve been in the pit—and Jesus pulled me out. He gave me a new identity, a new purpose, and a new hope that nothing in this world can take away.
And He can do the same for you.
My prayer is that my story gives you a glimpse of the freedom that’s possible when we surrender our brokenness to the One who knows how to make it whole.
Jesus saves. Jesus restores. Jesus is the answer.
And I hope to see you in eternity, friend.

My name is Sarah G. Andrews, and I’m from Mississippi. I received the call to ministry in 2017, which marked the beginning of my faith journey. That calling first took me into missions, where I traveled to Honduras and discovered a deep love for serving others through the love of Christ.
Over time, the Lord expanded that mission—leading me not only to serve abroad, but to open my heart and home to my heart daughter, Lu. She has become a living part of the ministry God birthed in me.
Today, I serve as both a music pastor and youth pastor, pouring into the next generation with a deep passion for Jesus. Whether I’m leading worship, mentoring students, or simply spending time with Lu, my greatest joy is sharing the life-changing love of Christ wherever He leads me.
I write with the desire to offer hope! No matter where we find ourselves in life, Jesus is ALWAYS there with open arms ready to receive us just as we are!
